Effective Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 the Calgary Police Service’s Police Information Check Unit (PICU) is moving from their downtown location at 316 7 Ave. S.E. to the new Westwinds
Campus, East Building, located at 5111 47 St. N.E.
To allow for this move, PICU will close at 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27 and re-open to the public in the new location at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.
The new location offers ample free parking for citizens who need to apply for a Police Information Check (PIC).
Calgarians can also visit any one of these district offices to complete an application for a PIC:

To apply for a PIC, citizens must bring two pieces of government-issued identification. One must have a photo (i.e. driver's licence, passport, citizenship card). The other can be a social insurance card, healthcare card or birth certificate.
The cost is $30 and $15 for volunteers/unpaid practicums (with a letter from the organization). Payment can be made by AMEX, Visa, MasterCard or Interac. Cash is currently accepted at the Westwinds location only.
Applications received at all locations will receive the same priority. The Service also hopes to offer applications online in the future.
Citizens who require Vulnerable Sector fingerprinting, pardon applicants, security guard/locksmith applicants or any out-of-city/country applicants are required to attend the Westwinds location only.

The CPS Westwinds Campus is now home to many areas of the CPS, including public services such as crime and collision reporting and the Alarm/Bylaw, Correspondence and Ticket Control Units.
